Yay for happiness!

Well if I haven't told you already they have cut my hours at work due to the "economy" (or that's the reason they are giving us).  That made it kind of hard for Hope and I, since we have all these different bills to pay. Well anyway not to sound gloomy and bring anyone's mood down, i took on a second job. It's basically clinical trials and I am the guy that does all the paperwork and puts it in the binders that the company calls source stock (makes me think of clones for some reason).

I have been working for them all month and had yet to get paid. So they send me a invoice and all I have to do is fill it out and it calculates my pay for me (the wonders of MS Excel). And gets what friends, it basically takes care of the hole that was left in my wallet that the before said hours cut took away. Life has been doing this lately for me and I am thankful for all the good vibes my friends always send.

Also Hope and I just got into watching the Vlog Brothers. If you have never heard of them, I definitely suggest you look them up on Youtube. They are hilarious.

Til I see you again...

Well it's been awhile.

I know I haven't been on here in forever, but I have good reason. No one told me that the real world would be so hard. My mom always said "it will hit you like a ton of bricks", but I never believed her. Well now I know that she was never lying to me.

Well an update is due. If you haven't seen on [info]mental_thatone 's journal, we have a new puppy. Her name is Weetzie and she is just so great. My job is going good, mainly because I got the fuck out to the Emergency Room. Don't get me wrong, I love the pace of the ED but the nurses that worked in there were shady, the Dept. itself was shady (management let nurses start IVs in the lobby!), and I was just fed up coming home stressed out and taking out frustrations on people that I love the most.

So now I am in the Express Care unit at the hospital, which is basically the same thing as the ED except that you don't see trauma patients. So that's not going to mess up my critical care experience for going back to college one day.

Also, Hope and I have started a garden with flowers, vegetables, and herbs. It's been really fun starting it and I hope we are able to get many foods from our crop. My favorite so far is the chives and parsley because I already use those two in a lot of my recipes (btw I am becoming a pretty good cook).

It's been awhile since I have talked to any of you friends on here so please comment and let me know how everyone is doing. I haven't heard from some of you in ages. I have a lot of catching up to do.

Til I see you again...

Obama

Posted on 2008.11.05 at 22:27
For the first time ever, my vote has really counted for something. I feel like I helped change the world somehow. The thousands upon thousands of patients I take care of will finally be able to afford there own insurance. The environment is going to thrive. Our soldiers will be able to re-cooperate so if something really bad happens, we will be ready. My brothers and sisters, change is here.

Obama may stumble along the way, but I honestly believe that he will help this nation as much as he possibly can, because he cares.

I was told by people from my home town, that I should jump into a can of black paint, and that Obama is the antichrist. I find this very sad and just honestly weird.

I love this nation. I love everyone.

Terminus teh Con of Awesome!

Well let me say to everyone that this was the best week of my life. Terminus was just full of great people, great events, and just the greatest day of all time period. Hope and I got MARRIED! Her dress was just made of perfect and I just could not stop smiling at her. Karen made our ceremony the most awesome wedding ever. Karen you have no idea how much you mean to us. We wish you all the love in the world and I hope you succeed in everything you do.

Also...we won the cup again! Quidditch was by far one of the high points of the week. We crushed those balls, we bashed the ninjas, and we were able to walk away knowing that we had made more friends because we kept our act classy. I will always love all of the quidditch players and people that put on the whole thing. Congrats to the ninjas on catching the final golden snitch, and to the Balls, I want to say that you all are the greatest group of competitors I have ever seen.

Chicago is one great city. It is just so beautiful here and the people are super accepting and nice. I will never forget after winning the Cup that a kid in the elevator asked me what was on my shirt and I told him a werewolf and he turned to his mom and said "Mama, I like werewolves".

I just have so many memories from this trip that I never want to forget and I am so glad that everyone could be a part of it. Nick says that he would really like to go to another con with us so maybe in a couple of years we will be back.

Go WEREWOLVES and GO HARRY POTTER!!!

The move

Well I have to say that these past two weeks have been the hardest on both of us. Not saying it hasn't been good, but it is just so much in such a little time that our emotions don't know which way to go. We are unpacking slowly in order not to kill ourselves, but everything seems to be going smoothly. This place is enormous, I mean really enormous. We love every inch of this place. I'm sitting up right now waiting on the cable guy to get here and after that we just need to do the walkthrough for the place and find anything that needs to be fixed by maintenance.

This has been a crazy couple of weeks for both of us and we will both be on here more after everything. Hope will most likely post pictures and all. And I just realized that the cable guy is late. I think they do that on purpose.

Well my brother just had an interview in Connecticut with a pharmaceutical company and he was just so sure that he was going to get that job, and I really thought he would too since they fronted him a flight, food, and several other expenses to get him there for the said interview.

Well anyway, he did not get the job and since the company he works for now is downsizing, he is completely out of a job. This means he has to move back home with my parents. With normal people, this scenario would be just fine...uncomfortable but fine, but Jon is the definition of the word ASSHOLE.

What I am asking of you my friends is this:

If you know any pharmaceutical company in your general area that is hiring or you believe is hiring, please let me know. Doesn't matter if it is out of the country either. This boy has a seven year masters in Chemistry and he now has almost a year in experience.

I've really got to get rid of him for all of our sakes.
